The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Regional Office 1 participated in the “Digital Transformation Journey Through ISSP” Caravan today at the EM Royalle Hotel and Beach Resort in San Juan, La Union.
This event, organized by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), is part of the government’s push to enhance public service through digital solutions, following President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive.
Leading the LTO delegation were Regional Director Glorioso Daniel Z. Martinez and Assistant Regional Director Engr. Eric C. Suriben, highlighting their commitment to modernization.
The ISSP Caravan aims to strengthen the capacity of government agencies by equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed to adopt new technologies.
Keynote Highlights
The event began with an inspiring message from Mr. June Vincent Manuel S. Gaudan, Director IV of the Government Digital Transformation Bureau and DICT Regional Director for Region 1.
He spoke about how digital transformation improves service delivery and empowers the public by simplifying government processes.
“Embracing technology isn’t optional anymore—it’s how we elevate the experience of the people we serve,” said Gaudan.
A Platform for Collaboration
The caravan brought together representatives from various organizations, including national government agencies (NGAs), government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs), law enforcement agencies, state universities and colleges (SUCs), and local government units (LGUs).
It was an opportunity to exchange ideas, share best practices, and identify strategies for advancing digital transformation across public institutions.
Workshops and interactive discussions gave participants practical insights into modernizing systems and improving services.
LTO’s Commitment to Progress
For LTO Regional Office 1, this event underscores their resolve to adopt cutting-edge solutions to better serve the public.
Their plans include faster, more reliable licensing and vehicle registration processes, along with enhanced online services.
“This effort represents our determination to adapt and respond to the evolving needs of the Filipino people,” said Regional Director Martinez.
He added that digital transformation is not just about technology—it’s about creating a seamless experience for everyone.
Shaping the Future
As the ISSP Caravan continues its journey across the country, it highlights the importance of innovation in delivering better government services.
For LTO Regional Office 1, this milestone is another step toward achieving a more responsive, efficient, and accessible system.
With the support of DICT and other stakeholders, the LTO is poised to set an example for other agencies in bringing public service into the digital age.
This event is a testament to how technology can bridge gaps and open doors, paving the way for a more connected and empowered Philippines.
