The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 1 proudly participated in the Bayanihan para sa Bawat Maralita (PBBM) Caravan 2024 held at the Agdao Mega Complex, San Carlos City.
With the theme “Tuloy-tuloy na Serbisyo, Para sa Maralitang Pilipino,” the event emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to reaching underserved communities.
The day began with a heartfelt welcome from LTO Region 1 Assistant Regional Director, Engr. Eric C. Suriben, who highlighted the importance of bringing government services closer to the people.
“We are here to break barriers and make public services more accessible to those who need them the most,” Engr. Suriben said, expressing gratitude for the collective effort that made the event possible.
Regional Director Glorioso Daniel Z. Martinez delivered an inspiring message, underlining how the event supports the government’s vision of inclusivity and equity.
“The LTO is not just about enforcing traffic laws,” Director Martinez explained. “We are here to support the Filipino people by providing services that make their everyday lives better and safer.”
Director Martinez also expressed pride in the LTO’s contribution to the Bayanihan spirit, where government and community join hands to address the needs of the marginalized.
The success of the PBBM Caravan 2024 was made possible through the leadership of Director Martinez and Engr. Suriben, with strong backing from Mr. Rodel E. Francisco, Chief of the PCUP Field Operations Division for North Luzon, and the Pangasinan District Heads.
The caravan followed the directives of DOTr Secretary Jaime J. Bautista and LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II, who have championed accessible and efficient public service.
Throughout the event, residents of San Carlos City and neighboring areas received a variety of much-needed services.
The LTO provided driver’s license renewals, vehicle registration support, and road safety education, bridging the gap for communities with limited access to these resources.
In addition to transportation services, the caravan also featured consultations and outreach programs to address the specific concerns of urban poor families and other vulnerable groups.
The event stood out as a platform for listening to the public and delivering tailored solutions that respond to their immediate needs.
Residents appreciated the caravan’s holistic approach, which went beyond service delivery to foster meaningful connections between the government and the people.
This effort demonstrated the government’s dedication to consistently serving those in need, particularly those who face challenges due to distance or socio-economic limitations.
The PBBM Caravan 2024 exemplified the true spirit of Bayanihan, showcasing what can be achieved when communities and government work hand in hand.
As the LTO continues to extend its reach, it remains committed to improving the lives of every Filipino, one community at a time.
This event is a testament to the power of collective action and a reminder that no one is left behind when service is rooted in compassion and purpose.
