LTO Bicol Intensifies Efforts to Boost Road Safety Compliance

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Region V has stepped up its drive to promote road safety through strict implementation of traffic regulations.

A series of roadside inspections across the Bicol region led to numerous apprehensions, sending a clear message to motorists about the importance of compliance with the law.

Liboton, Naga City: A Focus on Compliance

In Liboton, Naga City, the Regional Law Enforcement Unit (RLEU) Team Camarines Sur, in partnership with LTO Naga, issued 16 Temporary Operator’s Permits (TOPs) for various violations.

Enforcers confiscated 13 driver’s licenses, one temporary driver’s license (TDL), and two vehicle plates during the operation.

Albay and Sorsogon: Strengthening Accountability

In Tagas, Daraga, and Piot, Sorsogon City, RLEU teams conducted inspections that led to the issuance of 37 TOPs for 42 violations.

These operations resulted in the confiscation of 31 driver’s licenses, five vehicle plates, two TDLs, and the impounding of two motor vehicles.

Camarines Sur: Widening the Reach

In Tambo, Pamplona, LTO Pamplona teamed up with the Philippine National Police (PNP) to apprehend 11 violators.

Confiscated items included 10 driver’s licenses and one vehicle plate.

In South Centro and Impig, Sipocot, a joint effort by LTO Ragay and PNP Sipocot led to 24 apprehensions.

Authorities took custody of 21 driver’s licenses, two surrendered plates, and one motorcycle.

Iriga District Office: Driving Change in Baao

The LTO Iriga District Office collaborated with PNP Baao for a roadside inspection in San Roque, Baao.

This operation resulted in 15 apprehensions, with 13 driver’s licenses, one vehicle plate, and one motorcycle confiscated.

These enforcement efforts reflect LTO Bicol’s dedication to creating safer roads for all.

Motorists are reminded that compliance with traffic laws is not optional but a shared responsibility for the greater good.
